Thin Thoughts: You Are Loved
So many of us eat because we are trying to muffle unpleasant beliefs about ourselves.
Sometimes these beliefs were instilled in us from our parents and other role models; beliefs like we're not good
enough, nothing we do is good enough, and we have to be perfect in order to be loved.
Sometimes we create our own limiting beliefs, like we are unattractive or stupid or "losers" - and we eat to
smother that inner critical voice in our heads.
One of the most powerful things you can do to jumpstart your weight loss is to start fostering the belief that you
are loved.
Even better, start practicing FEELING loved as often as you can.
How?
Imagine that the universe is intelligent. If you believe in God, you can think of this benevolent, loving being
gazing down at you with absolute, 100% unconditional love, and allow the feeling of love to flow through every
fiber of your being.
If you don't consider yourself to be a religious person and want to keep the exercise general, simply imagine a
"force" of loving energy that is always within you, filling you with the sensation of being truly loved.
How you do it doesn't matter. The end goal is simply to practice feeling and believing that you are truly, deeply
and constantly LOVED.
Notice how feeling loved immediately eases that old inner tension. Notice how you don't feel the need to eat to
muffle critical voices in your head. Notice how you feel much more relaxed and happy - at peace with who you
are.
This is the essence of your natural well-being, bubbling up to the surface and transforming you, inside and
out.
