Law of Attraction, Weight Loss & Resistant Thoughts

Losing weight with the Law of Attraction requires a willingness to first release any resistant thoughts you have about your body.  "Resistant thoughts" would be any thoughts that are negative, derogatory, belittling, or contradictory to your desired outcome.

It's vital that you release these thoughts because they directly contradict the reality you are trying to create.  If you focus on your desired reality (being slender, fit, healthy, strong, sexy, etc.) and at the same time you are bemoaning the fact that you are overweight, tired, unattractive, self-conscious, and uncomfortable with your body, guess what happens?

The universe receives two conflicting signals from you - and it is going to respond to the one that is most prevalent, which, for most people, will be the one that has been in existence for a longer period of time.  The "fat" signal.

To avoid sending mixed signals to the universe, you need to stop allowing those negative thoughts to take up residence in your mind.  But you will not be able to eliminate them all immediately.

Instead, your goal should be to develop a strong sense of self-awareness so that you can catch these resistant thoughts as they pop up, and immediately overwrite them with more positive thoughts.

Here's an example:

Let's say that you are going about your day like normal, when you pass by a store window and see your reflection.  Immediately you feel disgusted by how heavy you look, and you start thinking thoughts like this:  "Ugh.  I can't believe I'm still so fat!  I HAVE to do something about this; I look disgusting and I can't stand it anymore.  I need to just stop eating altogether - I'll starve this fat off if I have to."

Obviously, those thoughts are NOT in alignment with the slender, joyful body you are trying to manifest.  So, you need to start releasing those resistant thoughts and replace them with better thoughts:

"Wait a second - that's not the kind of reality I want to perpetuate.  It's true that my body isn't yet where I want it to be, but I know it will be soon.  One of these days I will walk past a store window or a mirror and be amazed by how great I look.  I will feel really good about my body and feel proud of how beautiful I am.  I'll go shopping for beautiful clothes that make me feel good when I wear them, and I'll have plenty of energy to do things that inspire me . . ."

Keep going with a pleasant line of thoughts like this - and you will immediately shift the frequency you are emitting to the universe.

Understand that this process takes time and consistent effort!  Negative thoughts WILL keep popping up when you least expect them.  But don't get angry or frustrated about them; instead simply become aware of them and deliberately begin shifting your focus to a more positive place.

Over time, you will have shifted your dominant focus regarding your body, and the outer results will start appearing as proof of your progress.
